Once you do that, select the Boot in Safe Mode w/ Networking option. 3) locate the downloaded file and install. It will also install an update, which I believe is causing the problem. 4) Once completed, Spotify will open as it should. 5) Restart back in Normal mode and you should be good to go.

In the Desktop app, go to Spotify Settings > Show Advanced Settings > Startup and Window Behavior. Select 'No' in the dropdown menu. Restart the computer, and then try with the reinstall again. If you still run into the same issue, go to Task Manager and select the 'More Details' dropdown button.

While downloading the installer there are no option to download the whole spotify offline version. Instead it has web installer what if someone has a very poor connection or have any issue with internet so that he wants to download the file from somewhere else and install it later on his computer. That thing isn't possible.

Here are the instructions: Go to the Control Panel. Click Programs and Features. Select Spotify in the list and click uninstall. Follow the instructions on the screen. On the Start search bar, type %AppData% and hit enter. This should open up the folder: C:\Users\*Username*\AppData\Roaming.

Download the Full Spotify Installer Package In order to minimize the amount of time you need to spend in Safe Mode (which is a strange experience sometimes if you have a really low screen resolution without graphics card drivers), before going any further download the full Spotify installer package for Windows to somewhere easy to get to, desktop is my first choice normally.
